The song "Goodnight Moon" by Go Radio is my favourite song. Go Radio was formed by Jason Lancaster in 2008 after he left the band Mayday Parade. It's been said he left the band for personal reasons, mainly regarding that he wasn't credited enough for writing the songs. Jason then recruited Alex Reed and Steven Kopacz into the band and Go Radio really took off. Go Radio writes all of their own songs, making them more unique and heartfelt. It is easier to relate to the band and their songs since they are straight from their heart. The song is very similar to one Mayday Parade would sing since Jason used to write and sing songs for them. It could also be related to Every Avenue but for the most part is pretty unique.The first time I listened to "Goodnight Moon" I instantly loved it. It's not a very complex song it is sweet and simple. The song is very melodic and easy to listen to. When I listen to Goodnight Moon it puts me in a calmer mood than most songs do. Just makes you chill and listen closely to it. You can hear some different layers within it, such as drums, vocals, and a bit of piano. It doesn't stay a soft song the entire time it transitions to become a bit louder and faster after the first chorus. Gets louder again about halfway through the song where it becomes more intense and you can tell how strongly Jasons emotions are showing throughout the song. At this point it feels like it's hard for him to hold back his feelings and just wants them to be heard. When it is louder there is strong images you can see. He's telling a story with his lyrics. "I saw my Juliet come graceful down the stairs..." I picture a girl coming down the stairs in a ball gown and Jason waiting at the bottom for her. This happens a lot in movies, it is dramatic and sometimes in slow motion it adds a lot of effect and you would be able to see his lust for her. Now discussing the lyrics he is speaking directly to his "love". This is obvious at the begining when he addresses her "And don't go to bed yet, love. I think it's too early...". The overall song expresses the amount of love he has for the girl. "When you're all that I think about. All that I dream about..." this is part of the chorus so it is repeated throughout the song and is powerful because it shows how much the person he is singing about means to him. Closer to the end the phrase "can you feel us falling?" is repeated a few times, making the song seem more sad like they are breaking up or fighting. The song ends with a fadeout while saying "do you feel us falling?" it seems like it fell apart at the end and that while fading they are falling. It makes the lyrics interesting when it fades and then ends. Overall I like this song a lot, I could listen to it whenever and enjoy it everytime. I think you should listen to it and try to enjoy it too. :)
